What Went On Behind The Scenes With Hyun Bin At Tom Ford’s Newest Beauty Campaign
There’s a lot to love about South Korean actor Hyun Bin.
Having made his TV and film debut in 2003, he has since graced the screens as several of our most memorable characters – millionaire Kang Jae-Kyung in the 2006 film A Millionaire First Love, math genius-turned-boxer Han Tae-woong in the 2006 drama The Snow Queen, and arrogant CEO Kim Joo-won in the 2010 drama Secret Garden.
It goes without saying that he, too, has bagged several awards for his outstanding performances including the highest honour Baeksang Art Award Grand Prize for TV (2011), KBS Drama Award Best Actor for TV series (2006), and more.

But for those who are unfamiliar and unacquainted with some of older shows and accolades, they perhaps may remember him as Captain Ri Jeong-Hyuk, in the 2020 drama Crashed Landing On You, where he starred alongside Son Ye-Jin. The drama, with its theatrics, melodrama and occasional thrills, was a hit and became the second highest-rated drama on cable television in South Korean history.
And now there’s another reason to love Hyun Bin.

Crash landing (pun intended) as the first regional ambassador for Tom Form Beauty, the South Korean star will be face of Tom Ford’s latest fragrance: Tom Ford Private Blend Soleil Brûlant fragrance.
Reminiscent of the warm summer heat, Soleil Brûlant boasts amber and woody base notes as well as a whiff of mandarin and bergamot as its top notes. For the middle notes, you’ll catch whiffs of honey and orange.
The perfumes in the Tom Ford Private Blend collection are meticulously concocted by the monsieur himself. Each perfume is formulated from a singular note, before other blending in other intoxicating scents into the mix.
“As a longtime fan of Tom Ford, I am honoured and priviledged to be the first Fragrance attaché for the region, and look forward to working with the brand,” the 38-year-old says in the press statement.

Recently, Tom Ford has released a video of a suave Hyun Bin posing on set for the scent. In the video, the Korean superstar is seen seemingly isolated on a dessert. Amid the heat, he looks cool, composed and princely, with the signature scent in hand.

Prior to this endorsement deal, Hyun Bin was made the ambassador of luxury watchmaker Omega in November last year. Later this year, he will star in “Bargaining”, a new film where he portrays a national intelligence service (NIS) agent who rescues the kidnapped victims.
