Woof Woof! Do You Know These K-Celebs & Their Pooches?

August 26 is International Dog Day. Here's a list of seven Korean celebrities and their furbabies to celebrate this special day!

Nope, we're not talking about the fashion brand — we're talking about Key's two furbabies, Comme des and Garçons! Named after his favourite brand, the toy poodles themselves even love being dressed! You can find more of Comme des and Garçons on their own Instagram account.

Imagine having your own clothing line... But as a dog. Taeyeon's toy poodle Zero is a celebrity in his own right! Last year, popular clothing brand SPAO had a collaboration with Zero to sell merchandise of with the illustrations of the dog on it, and some of the proceeds will be donated to help animals in need. You can find more of Zero on his own Instagram account.

Daegal

When Chenle brought Daegal home, he worker had told her "Time to go with Daddy!" and he had realisation that he had just become a father. The bichon frise puppy captured everyone's hearts with her tiny size and adorable antics. Unfortunately, Chenle has yet to open an Instagram account for Daegal, but there's plenty of content of her around the net!

Daebak, Haengwoon, and Geongang

Collectively known as BakWoonGang, they are Moonbyul's Welsh corgis! Adorable and active, she has brought them to the 2020 Idol Star Dog Agility Championships where we saw just how upbeat and energetic her dogs are. As of late, they don't have their own Instagram yet, but you can find a hilarious interview Moonbyul tried to conduct with her dogs here!

BADA$$

Or more commonly known as Butt (a direct translation of his Korean name 엉덩이 eong-deong-i), BADA$$ is Ravi's pet French bulldog! During his early days as an idol, the idol-turned-CEO-and-variety-star (yes, he wears many hats) has said that he wanted to get a cream French bulldog and name it Butt. BADA$$'s name has been the cause of some confusion when Ravi had asked Jamie Park if she wanted to see his Butt (like... his dog... not his... body... part...) You can find more of BADA$$ on his own Instagram account.

Oscar

If you're a fan of dramas, you'd have heard of jtbc's Nevertheless, that just aired it final episode the past Sunday. Lee Ho-jung plays Sol in Nevertheless, a sculpture prodigy who pines for a childhood friend Seo Ji-wan. The actress is a furparent to an adorable border collie named Oscar! You can find more of Oscar on his own Instagram account.

Bookkeu

Also known as the 늦둥이 (neut-doong-i; late child — meaning a child that has huge age gap with the next youngest sibling) of the Boo family, Bookkeu's name is a witty pun using Seungkwan's family name. Granted, Bookkeu is actually his sister's dog, but Seungkwan and the rest of SEVENTEEN are often seen with him. My favourite is this video of Seungkwan calling Bookkeu to no avail, and him responding only when Seungkwan offers to take him outside! With over 200 thousand followers, Bookkeu is an Instagram celebrity in his own right! You can find more of Bookkeu on his own Instagram account.

We hope this list of Korean celebrities' furbabies lifts up your spirit this International Dog Day!
