What is love to you? Love is not simply romantic love, but also includes the love between you and your family, you and your friends, you and your pets, the love you have for yourself... The list goes on.

SEVENTEEN's comeback with "Ready to love" is part of their Power of 'Love' project that explores the different aspects of love in our lives.

This project was kickstarted with "Bittersweet", a song by members Wonwoo and Mingyu that navigates the blurring lines between friendship and (romantic) love.

"Ready to love" is the title track of their 8th mini album Your Choice that features six songs of which three songs are unit songs where the members of SEVENTEEN divide themselves into their respective units — Performance, Vocal, and Hip Hop. (The writer likes Anyone best!)

While "Bittersweet" had the concept of a love triangle that caused tension between friends, "Ready to love" shows a mature take on love. It is a song about confessing their love for someone whilst respecting their choice.

In line with the name of their album, SEVENTEEN's official Twitter account uploaded many polls to ask #What_is_your_choice or #CARAT_Choice. CARAT is the name of SEVENTEEN's official fan club.

There are more abstract polls like these.

This left CARATs wondering if there was a sort of hidden meaning behind the poll. After all, this is not the first time SEVENTEEN has used Twitter polls to hint towards their comeback.

Others asked for CARAT's choice in what abbreviations they can use for their songs.

This poll asks about how to abbreviate the longest title in Your Choice, "Same dream, same mind, same night". Would you choose "Same3" or "Dream, Mind, Night"?

This is a cheeky poll that made many CARATs laugh.

One of the members Hoshi's most common nicknames are Hamster and Tiger. While Hoshi likes to call himself a tiger, fans like to tease him and call him a hamster.

Hoshi even has a song about his love for tigers and included a line telling CARATs to stop calling him Hamster! (P.S. Horanghae is Hoshi’s way of saying I love you — 랑이 ho-rang-i + 사랑해 sa-rang-hae = 호랑해 ho-rang-hae!)

This year, SEVENTEEN wants to remind CARATs of the emotions of love through Power of 'Love' and hopes that we can find comfort and solace in their music. If you're not yet a fan and have not heard SEVENTEEN's songs, do give "Ready to love" a listen and we hope that it brings you happiness and peace.
