It’s always fun to watch our favourite Korean celebrities star in dramas and movies where we get to see them portray different characters. But, it’s also nice whenever they share what they’re up to outside showbiz whether it’s about their business, hobbies and even dating life.

Just like actors Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon, who recently announced a surprising news. This time around, the two personalities are embarking on a new role. It’s not going to be in a new show or film however, because they are soon going to be husband and wife as well as parents!

In their fan cafe posts, Shin Hye and Tae Joon both shared the news to fans. They are expected to wed next year on January, which will privately take place in Seoul. The actress’ agency also announced that she is pregnant.

Shin Hye and Tae Joon first worked together in the 2012 series “The King of Dramas”. They both appeared for a cameo role, which many believed to be a turning point in their relationship.

However, this is not the first time the actors crossed path. In fact, these two actually graduated from the same school, Chung-ang University. That’s not all! They took the same major in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.

Fast-forward to five years later, rumours have started to surface about the two of them dating. Locals have claimed to spot Shin Hye andTae Joon on a theme park date on Jeju Island.

It was also reported that the two of them were seen overseas, travelling together. Nevertheless, they denied the allegations and insisted that they are just workmates.

Finally in 2018, the couple made their relationship public!

Park Shin Hye started her career back in 2003 after playing a role in the popular K-Drama “Stairway to Heaven”. Afterwards, she worked on several supporting roles.

Her first lead role was in the South Korean-Japanese drama called “Tree of Heaven” launched in 2006. Many praised the actress for her acclaimed performance. This also contributed to her exposure outside Korea, since the show was also aired in Japan.

Her popularity continued to rise when she landed a role in the romantic comedy drama “You’re Beautiful” alongside Jang Geun Seuk. She also worked on one of the highest grossing Korean Films “Miracle in Cell No. 7” where she bagged “Best Supporting Actress” at the 33rd Korean Association of Film Critics Awards.

But, probably one of Shin Hye’s most notable roles is playing Cha Eun-sang in the star-studded drama “The Heirs.” It also included other famous actors such as Lee Min Ho, Kim Ji Won and Kim Woo Bin.

Meanwhile, Choi Tae Joon debuted as a child actor in 2001, playing Jo In Sung’s younger version in the show Piano. He then slowly gained popularity as he played supporting roles in various dramas like “Padam Padam”, “Adolescence Medley”, “Missing 9” as well as “Suspicious Partner”.

The actor also dabbled in hosting. He was a permanent host in the program “Hello Counselor” following his guesting that lasted for 2 weeks.

He enlisted in the military back in 2019 and was discharged May this year. His first project release is the series “So I Married the Anti-Fan” which was based on the novel with the same title.

Although the filming started in 2018, its broadcast was delayed because of difficulties finding a network to broadcast it. His military service also made it challenging for the promotions.

Finally, its first episode aired in April.
