In “Vincenzo”, Actress Jeon Yeo-been & Her 7 Iconic Luxury Carryalls
The iconic K-drama “Vincenzo” may have run its course on Netflix, but its impressionable fashion style still lingers on. In the 20-episode K-drama, Song Joong-ki plays Vincenzo Cassano, a Korean-Italian lawyer for the mafia. To avoid a conflict in Italy, he flees home to South Korea, where he meets feisty lawyer Hong Cha-Young (portrayed by Jeon Yeo-been) and her intern Jang Joon-woo (portrayed by Ok Taecyeon); the latter eventually turns up to be the series’ villain. Together with Cha-Young, the two team up to take down countless villains while keeping us on the edge of our seats.
Throughout the hilarious (and at times, riveting) K-drama, there’s no denying that Jeon’s character has made heads turn. Tipping hats to power dressing, we see her extensive wardrobe selection runs the gamut from striking power suits to quirky but elegant accessories (think Tiffany & Co and Cartier), as well as Korean fashion labels that have achieved cult status identities (such as KUHO and Moon Choi). Here, we spotlight 7 iconic, office-friendly carryalls Jeon Yeo-been has worn on screen!
1. Alexander McQueen’s The Tall Story
From the Autumn/Winter ‘20 runway, this gorgeous black tote boasts elegant sculptural lines, along with contrasting red trims and a gold-tone metal top. A gold-stamped logo adorns the front of the bag too. Add a touch of sophistication with this “tall” carryall. Check out the bag here.
2. Alexander McQueen’s Mini Jewelled Satchel
In the world of micro bags, Alexander McQueen’s Mini Jewelled Satchel is not exactly the smallest of the lot. Yes, they are petite, but also not exactly. What you still get is a little extra functionality space for you to fit your essentials! Nevertheless, this black leather small jewelled satchel boasts a silver-tone chain top handle and makes for a great carryall for a girls’ night out. Check out the bag here.
3. Bottega Veneta’s The Pouch
There is something elegant about slouchy clutches and Bottega Veneta’s The Pouch ticks all the boxes of a comfy carryall that you can use as a statement and hug too. This squishy pouch has, of course, taken the internet by storm in 2019: according to Kering’s 2019 report, the Pouch was the fastest-selling bag in BV’s history. And to add to that accolade, celebrities, such as Rihanna and Kylie Jenner, have been seen with it. Check out the bag here.
4. Bottega Veneta’s Handle Bag
The label’s signature intrecciato weave is imprinted all around this gorgeous handle bag. Timeless and chic, it makes sense that our favourite feisty lawyer would have one of this in her collection. Check out the bag here.
5. Givenchy’s Antigona Bag
The original Antigona Bag was first released in Givenchy’s Fall ’10 collection. It pays homage to the Greek heroine Antigone. A decade later the Parisian house revived and expanded the collection with even more designs added to the statement piece. Nevertheless, we see Jeon Yeo-been carrying this medium-sized version (which is versatile to use in the office and out) to and from the court. Check out the bag here.
6. Michael Kors’ SoHo Quilted Leather Shoulder Bag
Coined after the iconic New York City neighbourhood, this adorable clutch boasts chic and structural elements in its DNA. Available in a variety of colourways as well as several ways to wear it, feel free to express your personality with it, just like how Jeon Yeo-been does it in “Vincenzo”. Check out the bag here.
7. Salvatore Ferragamo’s Gancini Top Handle
The unique trapezoid shape and curved-edge flap in the Gancini Top Handle bag tips hats to the house proclivity for structural and gorgeous craftsmanship. The feminine carryall is also practical with several compartments to keep your essentials within your reach too. Check out the bag here.
