Perfumes Worn by Korean Celebrities
Scents are another type of beauty that we perceive and is highly unique to each individual. A person's diet, the food they eat, their hormones, the pH value of their skin, and even the acidity of their skin fats can affect the way a perfume smells on someone. That's why shopping for that perfect perfume is difficult.

The popular R&B and Hip Hop singer professed his love for perfumes on VOGUE KOREA by bringing not one, not two, but three of his favourite scents on set! The singer is a huge fan of BYREDO's BAL D'AFRIQUE and Casablanca Lily, but the perfume that had caught his attention recently is Dior's Spice Blend perfume. He expressed that he really loves the smell of this perfume, even if it deviates from his usual rose and sweet-scented go-tos.

Mun Ka-young

The star of 2020's hit drama True Beauty Mun Ka-young shared her favourite perfume with VOGUE KOREA, citing Dior's Dior Homme Intense as one of her favourites. The actress talked about how she prefers gender neutral scents, and hence chose to opt for perfumes traditionally made for males (homme means man in French). She also joked that because all her female friends like the smell of this perfume, it could be the reason why it was initially made for men to use instead!

The lead vocalist of NU'EST has a sweet and innocent appearance, so it's no surprise that his choice of perfume matches his melodic voice and ageless looks perfectly. On VOGUE KOREA, he chose Jo Malone's Wisteria & Lavender Cologne as his perfume of choice, citing that he likes to match his perfumes with his outfits and the weather.

Those who have had the fortune to meet Tiffany Young in real life may remember the distinct smell of the singer's perfume. In fact, Tiffany shared with VOGUE KOREA that when she was on tour, a hashtag called #Tiffany_smells_good was trended by fans who were lucky enough to be up close and personal with her! For people like me who may not have met Tiffany in person yet, you can recreate her signature smell with these two perfumes: BYREDO's Rose Noir and Acqua di Parma's Rosa Nobile. Unlike the other female celebrities listed above, Tiffany is not one for neutral scents and instead loves rose smells. Meet another celebrity who loves BYREDO perfumes too! This idol-turned-actor is not new to experimenting with scents. In fact, one of his hobbies is candle making! Cha Hakyeon recently shared on his Instagram his newest bottle of perfume, BYREDO's Blanche has a soft and clean scent that's perfect for the summer. At least we know no one was murdered for this perfume (see also: VIXX's Scentist).

She then went on to share the newest baby to her collection, Creed's Royal Water perfume, which she describes to have a refreshing, gender neutral scent.

He believes that by having a nice scent on you, it makes you seem well-prepared when meeting someone — perhaps you can even think of perfume as an accessory that completes your look! The comedian shared with VOGUE KOREA that his recent favourite is BYREDO's Bal d'Afrique for its refreshing yet mysterious scent. Jo Se-ho loves it so much that he even has a hand cream in this scent!
