What is WeVerse?

What if you could have a platform where you can have front row seats to your favourite celebrity's daily life? Sometimes, if you're lucky, they might even notice your messages to them and give you a reply! Hybe Corporation's WeVerse gives you exactly that.

WeVerse is an idol-fan communication platform launched in mid-2019 that offers participating celebrities and their fans a space to interact.

The platform is similar to that of existing social media platforms in that it consists of a feed where you can find posts made by other fans.

It is most similar to Twitter, where you can make purely text posts or add photos as well.

You can also use hashtags the same way they're used on other social media sites.

Since the artists can traverse the platform like any other person, you can choose to hide your posts from them if you feel that it's not something you'd like them to see.

If WeVerse is like any other social media platform, what makes them special?

Artists who use WeVerse are usually more active on this platform and thus are more likely to see content from their fans here. Occasionally, they will also reply to some of the posts in the feed — it's every fan's dream for their idol to notice them!

I'm sure he made their day with his reply. You will receive notifications whenever the artist comments or makes a post, and their comments will always be highlighted by the platform so you'll never miss it.

There is also a tab that collates all the posts made by the artists, both in post and story format.

The last tab consists of all the media pertaining to the artist. However, some content might require a purchase.

WeVerse also offers memberships that gives added benefits like membership-only content from the artist, membership-only merchandise, early-access to concert tickets, and more. The price of the membership varies depending on the artist, but is likely to cost around USD20. With this membership, you will also be entitled to buy a membership kit that consists of exclusive merchandise like photocards, photobooks, stickers, and a personalised membership card.

You will need to use a separate app, called WeVerse Shop to make these purchases.

Lastly, there is also a WeVerse magazine the features exclusive interviews with your favourite artists that you can access for free.

For the large part, WeVerse is free to use and that's what makes it so attractive to fans. To date, there are 31 artists on WeVerse that range from well-known Kpop bands to even Western artists like Gracie Adams and Jeremy Zucker.
