Meanwhile Cha Woo In (portrayed by Jo Bo-ah) is a newly hired military prosecutor hailed from a rich family. Albeit looking meek and fragile on the outside, she is actually strong hearted and has a secret revenge plan.

The duo will soon start working together to hunt down bad guys in the military, with Bae Man slowly gaining appreciation for his job.

A Superior Day

Drama: Based on a webtoon called “Uwolhan Halu”, this thrilling show is all about being superior if you want to survive.

The main protagonist is a fire fighter named Lee Ho Cheol (played by Jin Goo), who works hard for his family. In his town, a serial killer is on the loose and he suddenly gets an anonymous message about the identity of the murderer.

Ho Cheol discovers that it is his next-door neighbour Kwon Shi Woo (played by Lee Won Geun), a handsome young man who is actually a psychopath. A man called Bae Tae Jin (played by Ha Do Kwon) also contributes to the plot; a hired killer who plans to use Ho Cheol to end Shi Woo’s life.

Sixth Sense 3

Variety show: Take a breather from those two heavy dramas and have a laugh by watching the third season of Sixth Sense!

The program, which started airing last 2020, features the cast members and a celebrity guest visiting three places or people. In each episode, all of them must find out which of the three is fake using their “sixth sense” – hence the title.

They will be analysing every detail, and those who guessed correctly will win a prize. However if they guessed wrong, one person will be picked to suffer a punishment: doing the next opening without eyebrows.

All of season 2’s cast will be returning this time; Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Sang Yeob, Jun So Min, Jessi, Lovelyz’s Mijoo and Oh Na Ra.

Default

Movie: Default is a drama film released in 2018 starring Kim Hye Soo, Yoo Ah In, Joo Woo Jin, Heo Jon Ho and French actor Vincent Cassel. It made history as the first-ever Korean movie to tackle a financial crisis that is based on a real story.

The film revolves around the International Monetary (IMF) negotiations that happened during the financial crisis of 1997 in three perspectives.  

First, is about a factory owner who supplies a product to a big department store and accepted a promissory note as a payment. The second story centres on a young financial analyst who sets up an investment fund.

The last one includes Korea’s central bank governor who announces a financial report that triggers an emergency meeting.

The Fortress

Movie: Topping the box office during its opening day with over 400,000 viewers, The Fortress is the fastest film released during Chuseok to surpass the one million-admission mark.

It is set in 1636, during the Second Manchu invasion of Korea. In this period, the Qing Dynasty attacks Joseon and King Injo (portrayed by Park Hae Il) and his retainers Myung Kil (portrayed by Lee Byung Hun) as well as Sang Hun (portrayed by Kim Yun Seok) will hide in the mountain fortress.

King Injo’s two followers have opposing opinions with one pushing to negotiate with the enemy, and the other proposing to fight – leaving him in agony to decide the fate of his nation.

Commitment

Movie: Have you ever been pressured to follow the footsteps of your parents? BIGBANG TOP’s character faces this dillema as he was suddenly tasked to finish what his father started.

 Although Myung Hoon (portrayed by TOP) dreams to be a pianist, it is put to halt with his dad who is North Korean spy dies without completing a mission. As a result, he and his sister were brought into a forced labor camp.

A military official then offers Myung Hoon a deal: he will fly to South Korea and locate a traitor, and they will be released. After two years of training, he then arrives in Seoul, encounters new faces and will begin to cope with unforeseen circumstances.

Confession of Murder

Movie: No serial killer would admit to their crimes, which is why it came to a surprise to many when a man named Lee Do Seok (played by Park Si Hoo) releases a novel titled “I Am The Murder”.

In the book, he admits to the murders that took place 17 years ago, including the detailed descriptions of the killings. It instantly becomes a major best seller because of his good looks and his claims of regret.

However Choi Hyeong Goo (played by Jung Jae Yeon), a detected who was in charge of hunting him down years ago, suspects that he is an imposter. On another hand, families of the victims start planning revenge against Do Seok.
