Most of us here are guilty of snacking on food whilst working (or studying!) at our desks. Whether it's to keep you busy while working, or if it's used as an encouragement to keep pressing on, who doesn't love to have some snacks accompanying us throughout our day!

Eating the same few chips or sweets all the time can get quite boring so here at ABC KOREA, we collected seven unique Korean snacks that you may want to try!

Nongshim's Banana Kick

This snack was featured in ABC KOREA's Everyday K-Food series on Korean Childhood Snacks and was a favourite of our host! The snack combines the sweet taste of bananas and the crispiness of chips to form a unique and delicious mid-day snack.

Binggrae Lychee & Peach Milk

Before you scrunch up your face in disgust, hear us out! The combination of lychee and peach may sound weird, but trust us when we say that it works! The lychee taste is slightly stronger than that of the peach, but they work well with the milk to bring about a unique flavour. The flavours make it a little heavier than regular milk or milk of other flavours, so we recommend drinking this in the middle of the day when you need a little extra boost but don't feel too full from lunch.

Everyone knows about Orion's famous Choco Pie; it's even the favourite of ABC KOREA's host, Stanley! This time, Orion added a new twist to their traditional Choco Pie by adding injeolmi! Injeolmi powder is a roasted soybean powder that carries with it a nutty and mildly sweet flavour. Lovers of injeolmi bingsu should definitely give the Injeolmi Choco Pie a try!

Tom's Farm's Mint Chocolate Almond

In Korea, many debate whether mint chocolate is a good flavour. Lovers say mincho (mint chocolate) is great, while haters say eating mincho is like eating toothpaste-flavoured food. Which side do you stand? Regardless, Tom's Farm picked up on this and developed their very own mint chocolate almonds! Almonds are rather filling, so it would be good to have this snack in the afternoon when you've already had lunch, but it's too early for dinner.

Paldo's Banana Sikhye

Sikhye is a traditional sweet Korean rice beverage that is often made with pine nuts. The drink is a staple in Korean jimjilbang or spas and is often served cold, making it a refreshing drink. This time, Paldo has combined two of our favourite Korean drinks, banana milk and sikhye, to make banana sikhye! For those of you who find banana milk to be too heavy, you might want to give banana sikhye a try instead as it gives you the banana flavour without being overly thick.
