K-Pop Idols You Should Follow On TikTok Right Now
In the 21st century, social media has become an integral form of entertainment. This is why almost all personalities in Korea have their own accounts. It’s their way of connecting with fans – updating them with their schedules and even daily lives.
Aside from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, one platform has been gaining attention since 2020. The app is none other than TikTok, and here are some of the K-Pop Idols who are enjoying it as much as we do!
WINNER’s Lee Seunghoon
Ever since he got discharged from the military, Seunghoon has become active again on social media. He recently opened his Tiktok account, but has already garnered over 600,000 followers and over 10 million likes.
As the main dancer of the group, you’d expect his videos to be focus on dancing (and he actually has dance covers!) but what stands out is his comedic content from funny trends, challenges with WINNER members and even behind-the-scenes of his clips.
Sorn
Sorn is a former member of Cube Entertainment’s girl group CLC. In 2021, she terminated her contract with the agency to pursue her solo career.
As an idol, Sorn is already known for her witty personality – which is what makes her content relatable to a lot of viewers.
In her Tiktok videos, she would try different filters and have hilarious reactions to the results, rate her stage outfits and share funny anecdotes about her daily life. Currently, Sorn has been sharing sneak peaks for her upcoming song “Sharp Objects”.
TXT
Their bio says it all. The boys are known in TikTok for doing whatever it is that they want, and fans surely love it as they already have over 15 million followers and 400 million likes.
TXT’s videos include participating in different singing and dancing challenges, fan service clips (POVs of what it’s like to be their date!) and using trending sounds to share what’s going on in their lives~
Of course, clips of them performing their own songs can also be found on their account.
Super Junior’s Siwon
Who says 3rd generation idols are the only ones who can use TikTok? Siwon proves that even they can hop on the trend and create content for their fans!
Although he only has a number of videos, all of his posts exceed a million views – a proof that Siwon can literally post anything random and still get a lot of reaction because, that’s the power of being in Super Junior.
Two of his most viewed TikToks is a video with the other members using the popular Drilla – JOE sound, and a clip of him showing a finger heart in a cheesy yet very adorable way~
BoA
Another legendary idol that has joined TikTok is none other than the “Queen of K-Pop” BoA.
In her videos, she has been mostly showcasing her dancing skills. She also posts videos of her adorable dog, her trying out the “Guess the Gibberish” filter and a funny dub to the iconic “Do You Wanna Build A Snowman” scene in Disney’s Frozen.
As of now, BoA has no recent TikToks probably due to her tight schedule, so fingers crossed that she will be able to create more content soon!
SUNMI
Idols have also used TikTok as a form of promoting their new songs by creating dance challenges and inviting other personalities to do it with them.
SUNMI is one of the artists who have used this technique. In her account, you can see her “You Can’t Sit With Us” challenge along with other idols like Chungha, MOMOLAND, Dreamcatcher, Lee Daehwi and Seulgi!
Fans also get to see her close relationship with her back up dancers since they often do TikTok trends together showing that they are not just colleagues, but also good friends.
KARD’s BM
Fans have always found BM’s personality lovable thanks to his stories and anecdotes in the DIVE Studios Podcasts.
However, he took it to the next level by creating a TikTok account that highlights his talent in dancing. BM usually performs to hip-hop music, either using his own choreography or following a tending dance challenge.
From time to time, KARD members appear on his videos. He also has TikToks with other idols like CL and BTOB’s Peniel.
